A FEW WORDS
Somewhere between sun and sea, a magnificent, luxurious villa sits gazing at the Ionian Sea. The Villa on the Rock is located on the beautiful island of Kefalonia, among gorgeous beaches, sites of historical, cultural and religious interest, as well as places with unique physical beauty such as underground caves and a national forest.
This exceptional villa with its island charm is situated on 4,200 square meters of land , well known for its magnificent beach with crystal clear waters.
From its interior spaces to its most removed exterior corner, the villa has been built with love and care, with special attention to the quality of the materials and to good taste in order to satisfy one and only intention – to provide the owner with exceptional moments of relaxation, a beautiful view and, of course, the opportunity to experience life in Kefalonia.
Playful but serious, hospitable but also extremely private, the villa can be used in various ways according to the wishes and needs of the owner since this is a two-story home of 400 square meters.
With the aura of the sea to cool it, the villa opens its arms and welcomes us into its warm spaces. With our entrance into the ground floor, we are welcomed by a living room drenched in natural light. Then comes the dining room ready to presents its best self under the watchful eye of the sea. Three comfortable bedrooms- the pink, light blue and the cappuccino rooms- complete the first floor, providing private moments of relaxation and seclusion.
Descending to the second level, the same positive atmosphere surrounds all the rooms. First stop is the TV room whose atmosphere journeys us to the African continent through its color-filled paintings by S. KAPPATA. The TV room acts as a border between the private and common spaces since to its right we meet the steam/ sauna room and two additional bedrooms, the burgundy and the sea rooms. To our left the combined space that includes the living room, kitchen and dining room invites us to enjoy it, alone or with company.
The seemingly conventional nature of the space is pleasantly overturned by the discreet presence of the cellar, which lends a touch of aristocratic luxury to the modern character of the villa.
Passing to the exterior spaces, it becomes obvious that they have been created to provide “niches” for various activities depending on a given mood.
Besides the impressive 116-metre swimming pool, which becomes one with the blue horizon, the exterior spaces are completed by a theatre for musical and theatrical performances, a fully-equipped bar decorated by a mosaic, a large entertainment area with barbecue facilities and, finally, a chapel with icons by Roland Shtembari and built to fulfill a votive offering in honor of Saint Gerasimos and as such dedicated to him.
In a few words, the villa and its exterior spaces provide serenity and tranquility to its owner and his guests. The combination of the magnificent sea and sun, the exceptional location of the villa with the refined aesthetics that characterize it offer an opportunity for continuous regeneration.
